Otče náš, jenž jsi na nebesích, posvěť se jméno tvé. Přijď království tvé. Buď vůle tvá jako v nebi, tak i na zemi. Chléb náš vezdejší dej nám dnes. A odpusť nám naše viny, jako i my odpouštíme našim viníkům. A neuveď nás v pokušení, ale zbav nás od zlého. Amen.
Zdrávas, Maria, milosti plná, Pán s tebou; požehnaná ty mezi ženami a požehnaný plod života tvého, Ježíš.
Svatá Maria, Matko Boží, pros za nás hříšné nyní i v hodinu smrti naší. Amen.
Věřím v Boha, Otce všemohoucího, Stvořitele nebe i země. I v Ježíše Krista, Syna jeho jediného, Pána našeho; jenž se počal z Ducha svatého, narodil se z Marie Panny, trpěl pod Ponciem Pilátem, ukřižován umřel i pohřben jest; sestoupil do pekel, třetího dne vstal z mrtvých; vstoupil na nebesa; sedí po pravici Boha, Otce všemohoucího; odtud přijde soudit živé i mrtvé. 18:2 Nebesa vypravují o Boží slávě, obloha hovoří o díle jeho rukou.
18:3 Svoji řeč předává jeden den druhému, noc noci sděluje poznatky.
18:4 Není to řeč lidská , nejsou to slova, takový hlas od nich nelze slyšet.
18:5 Jejich tón zvučí celičkou zemí, zní jejich hovor po širém světě.
18:6 Bůh slunci na nebi postavil stan. Jaka ženich z komnaty vyjde,
18:6 vesele jako rek, když běží k cíli. Vychází na jednom okraji nebes,
18:7 probíhá obloukem k druhému konci a nic se neskryje před jeho žárem.
18:8 Hospodinův zákon je dokonalý, udržuje při životě. Hospodinovo svědectví je pravdivé, nezkušený jím zmoudří.
18:9 Hospodinova ustanovení jsou přímá, jsou pro radost srdci. Hospodinovo přikázání je ryzí, dává očím světlo.
18:10 Hospodinova bázeň je čistá, obstojí navždy. Hospodinovy řády jsou pravda, jsou nejvýš spravedlivé,
18:11 nad zlato vzácnější, nad množství ryzího zlata, sladší než med, než včelí med z plástve.
18:12 Jsou poučením i pro tvého služebníka, když na ně dbá, má odměnu hojnou.
18:13 Kdo může rozpoznat bludy? Zprosť mě i vin , jež jsou mi skryty.
18:14 Též před opovážlivci chraň svého služebníka, nedopusť, aby mi vládli. Pak budu bez vady a shledán čistý, prost množství nevěrností.
18:15 Kéž se ti líbí řeč mých úst i to, o čem rozjímám v srdci,

44:7 Tvůj trůn, Bože, trvá na věčné časy, žezlo tvé vlády je žezlo nestranné!
44:8 Miluješ spravedlnost, nenávidíš nepravost; proto tě Bůh, tvůj Bůh pomazal olejem radosti před tvými druhy.
44:9 Myrhou, aloem, kassií voní všechna tvá roucha, blaží tě zvuk strunných nástrojů v paláci ze slonové kosti.
44:10 Vstříc ti vycházejí dcery králů, po své pravici máš královnu, ozdobenou ofírským zlatem.
44:11 Slyš, dcero, pohleď a naslouchej, zapomeň na svůj národ, na svůj otcovský dům!
44:12 Sám král touží po tvé kráse: vždyť je tvým pánem, před ním se skloň!
44:13 Tyrský lid přichází s dary, velmoži národa se ucházejí o tvou přízeň.
44:14 V plné kráse vstupuje královská dcera, její šat je protkán zlatem.
44:15 V barevném rouchu ji vedou ke králi, za ní přicházejí panny, její družky.
44:16 Provázeny radostným jásotem, vstupují v královský palác.
44:17 Místa tvých otců zaujmou tvoji synové, ustanovíš je za knížata po celé zemi.
44:18 Chci tvé jméno připomínat všem budoucím pokolením,
44:18 proto tě národy oslaví na věčné věky.

Now the ornament of the heavens are the godly powers of preachers, and this ornament, what it is, Paul teacheth us thus To one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom, to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another diverse kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But all these worketh that one and the self-same Spirit, dividing to every man severally as He will. 1 Cor. xii. 8.

So much power then as have preachers, so much ornament have the heavens. Wherefore again it is written By the word of the Lord were the heavens made. ~Ps. xxxii. 6. For we know what manner of men the Teachers of the Holy Church were before the coming of this Spirit and since He came we see in Whose strength they are made strong.

Peter was a fisherman, he was not rich, he earned his bread by his hand and skill, and nevertheless he is thus bold, and saith confidently: We have forsaken all. And because it sufficeth not to forsake only, he addeth that which to do is to be perfect: and followed thee. We have done that which Thou hast commanded us, what reward therefore wilt Thou give us? And Jesus said unto them Amen I say unto you, that ye which have followed Me, in the regeneration, when the Son of Man shall sit in the throne of His glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. He said not, Ye which have forsaken all, for this did even Crates the philosopher, and they which have set nothing by riches are many, but, Ye which have followed Me. This did the Apostles, and this do believers do.

By reason of these words, an hundredfold, some will have that there shall be a thousand years after the resurrection, wherein they that have forsaken all things shall receive an hundredfold of those things which they have forsaken, and shall inherit everlasting life. Such men consider not that though in other things this were worthy, as touching wives it is unseemly for it becometh us not to think that he that hath forsaken one wife in this world, shall receive an hundred wives in that which is to come. But the meaning is this, that every one that for the Saviour's sake hath forsaken earthly things, shall receive spiritual things which things, being rightly weighed against earthly things, are as though an hundredfold were weighed against one.
