Hymnus {ex Proprio de Tempore}
Quem terra, pontus, ǽthera
Colunt, adórant, prædicant,
Trinam regéntem máchinam,
Claustrum Maríæ báiulat.

Cui luna, sol, et ómnia
Desérviunt per témpora,
Perfúsa cæli grátia,
Gestant puéllæ víscera.

Beáta Mater múnere,
Cuius supérnus ártifex
Mundum pugíllo cóntinens,
Ventris sub arca clausus est.

Beáta cæli núntio,
Fœcúnda sancto Spíritu,
Desiderátus géntibus,
Cuius per alvum fusus est.

María Mater grátiæ,
Mater misericórdiæ:
Tu nos ab hoste prótege,
Et hora mortis súscipe.

Glória tibi, Dómine,
Qui natus es de Vírgine,
Cum Patre, et Sancto Spíritu,
In sempitérna sǽcula.
Amen.
Chvalozpěv {ex Proprio de Tempore}
The God whom earth, and sea, and sky
Adore, and laud, and magnify,
Who o'er their threefold fabric reigns,
The Virgin's spotless womb contains.

The God, whose will by moon and sun
And all things in due course is done,
Is borne upon a maiden's breast,
By fullest heavenly grace possest.

How blest that mother, in whose shrine
The great artificer divine,
Whose hand contains the earth and sky,
Vouchsafed, as in his ark, to lie.

Blest, in the message Gabriel brought;
Blest, by the work the Spirit wrought;
From whom the great desire of earth
Took human flesh and human birth.

María Mater grátiæ,
Mater misericórdiæ:
Tu nos ab hoste prótege,
Et hora mortis súscipe.

All honour, praise and glory be,
O Jesu, Virgin-Born, to thee;
All glory, as is ever meet,
To Father, and to Paraclete.
Amen.

Žalm 105(32-48) [6]
105:32 They provoked him also at the waters of contradiction: * and Moses was afflicted for their sakes: because they exasperated his spirit.
105:33 And he distinguished with his lips; * they did not destroy the nations of which the Lord spoke unto them.
105:35 And they were mingled among the heathens, and learned their works: and served their idols, * and it became a stumblingblock to them.
105:37 And they sacrificed their sons, * and their daughters to devils.
105:38 And they shed innocent blood: * the blood of their sons and of their daughters which they sacrificed to the idols of Chanaan.
105:39 And the land was polluted with blood, and was defiled with their works: * and they went aside after their own inventions.
105:40 And the Lord was exceedingly angry with his people: * and he abhorred his inheritance.
105:41 And he delivered them into the hands of the nations: * and they that hated them had dominion over them.
105:42 And their enemies afflicted them: and they were humbled under their hands: * many times did he deliver them.
105:43 But they provoked him with their counsel: * and they were brought low by their iniquities.
105:44 And he saw when they were in tribulation: * and he heard their prayer.
105:45 And he was mindful of his covenant: * and repented according to the multitude of his mercies.
105:46 And he gave them unto mercies, * in the sight of all those that had made them captives.
105:47 Save us, O Lord, our God: * and gather us from among nations:
105:47 That we may give thanks to thy holy name, * and may glory in thy praise.
105:48 Blessed be the Lord the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting: * and let all the people say: So be it, so be it.

From the Commentary of Pope St. Gregory on the books of Kings
On I Kings I
“There was a man of Ramathaim-Sophim, of mount Ephraim.” The name of this mountain can be taken to designate the Most Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God. She is a mountain in as much as, among chosen creatures, the dignity of her calling was above that of any others. Surely Mary was the highest of mountains, was she not, when she heaped up merits beyond all the choirs of Angels, to the very throne of God, that she might be worthy to conceive the eternal Word? It was this mountain whose supreme dignity Isaias was prophesying when he said: “In days to come, the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established as the highest mountain.” Mary was indeed the highest mountain, since her summit gleamed above those of all the Saints.
