Pater noster, qui es in cælis, sanctificétur nomen tuum: advéniat regnum tuum: fiat volúntas tua, sicut in cælo et in terra. Panem nostrum quotidiánum da nobis hódie: et dimítte nobis débita nostra, sicut et nos dimíttimus debitóribus nostris: et ne nos indúcas in tentatiónem: sed líbera nos a malo. Amen.
Ave María, grátia plena; Dóminus tecum: benedícta tu in muliéribus, et benedíctus fructus ventris tui Jesus. Sancta María, Mater Dei, ora pro nobis peccatóribus, nunc et in hora mortis nostræ. Amen.
Credo in Spíritum Sanctum, sanctam Ecclésiam cathólicam,
Sanctórum communiónem, remissiónem peccatórum, carnis resurrectiónem, vitam ætérnam. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation: But deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried: he descended into hell; the third day he arose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven; sitteth at the right hand of God the Father almighty: from thence he shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy catholic Church, the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

Thereafter, with hearable voice, the Versicle is said:
℣. O Lord, + open thou my lips.
℟. And my mouth shall declare thy praise.
℣. O God, come to my assistance;
℟. O Lord, make haste to help me.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, * and to the Holy Ghost.
As it was in the beginning, is now, * and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Alleluia.

Ant. Let the Saints rejoice in the Lord, * Alleluia.
Come let us praise the Lord with joy: let us joyfully sing to God our saviour. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving; and make a joyful noise to him with psalms.
Ant. Let the Saints rejoice in the Lord, * Alleluia.
For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. For the Lord will not cast off his people: for in his hand are all the ends of the earth, and the heights of the mountains are his.
Ant. Alleluia.
For the sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land. (genuflect) Come let us adore and fall down: and weep before the Lord that made us: For he is the Lord our God: and we are the people of his pasture and the sheep of his hand.
Ant. Let the Saints rejoice in the Lord, * Alleluia.
Today if you shall hear his voice, harden not your hearts: As in the provocation, according to the day of temptation in the wilderness: where your fathers tempted me, they proved me, and saw my works.
Ant. Alleluia.
Forty years long was I offended with that generation, and I said: These always err in heart. And these men have not known my ways: so I swore in my wrath that they shall not enter into my rest.

Hymnus {ex Proprio Sanctorum}
Regáli sólio fortis Ibériæ,
Hermenegílde, jubar, glória Mártyrum,
Christi quos amor almis
Cæli cœ́tibus ínserit.

Ut perstas pátiens, pollícitum Deo
Servans obséquium! quo pótius tibi
Nil propónis, et arces
Cautus nóxia, quæ placent.

Ut motus cóhibes, pábula qui parant
Surgéntis vítii, non dúbios agens
Per vestígia gressus,
Quo veri via dírigit!

Sit rerum Dómino jugis honor Patri,
Et natum célebrent ora precántium,
Divinúmque suprémis
Flamen láudibus éfferant.
Amen.
Hymn {from the Proper of Saints}
Glory of Iberia's throne!
Joy of martyred saints above!
Who the crown of life have won
Dying for their Saviour's love.

What intrepid faith was thine!
What unswerving constancy!
Bent to do the will divine
With exact fidelity.

Every rising motion checked
Which might lead thy heart astray,
How thou didst thy course direct
Whither virtue showed the way.

Honour, glory, majesty,
To the Father and the Son,
With the Holy Spirit be,
While eternal ages run.
Amen.

77:10 They kept not the covenant of God: * and in his law they would not walk.
77:11 And they forgot his benefits, * and his wonders that he had shewn them.
77:12 Wonderful things did he do in the sight of their fathers, in the land of Egypt, * in the field of Tanis.
77:13 He divided the sea and brought them through: * and he made the waters to stand as in a vessel.
77:14 And he conducted them with a cloud by day: * and all the night with a light of fire.

Psalm 77(17-31) [3]
77:17 And they added yet more sin against him: * they provoked the most High to wrath in the place without water.
77:18 And they tempted God in their hearts, * by asking meat for their desires.
77:19 And they spoke ill of God: * they said: Can God furnish a table in the wilderness?
77:20 Because he struck the rock, and the waters gushed out, * and the streams overflowed.
77:20 Can he also give bread, * or provide a table for his people?
77:21 Therefore the Lord heard, and was angry: * and a fire was kindled against Jacob, and wrath came up against Israel.
77:22 Because they believed not in God: * and trusted not in his salvation.
77:23 And he had commanded the clouds from above, * and had opened the doors of heaven.
77:24 And had rained down manna upon them to eat, * and had given them the bread of heaven.
77:25 Man ate the bread of angels: * he sent them provisions in abundance.
77:26 He removed the south wind from heaven: * and by his power brought in the southwest wind.
77:27 And he rained upon them flesh as dust: * and feathered fowls like as the sand of the sea.
77:28 And they fell in the midst of their camp, * round about their pavilions.
77:29 So they did eat, and were filled exceedingly, and he gave them their desire: * they were not defrauded of that which they craved.
77:30 As yet their meat was in their mouth: * and the wrath of God came upon them.
77:31 And he slew the fat ones amongst them, * and brought down the chosen men of Israel.

Lesson from the Acts of the Apostles
Acts 8:9-13
9 There was therefore great joy in that city. Now there was a certain man named Simon, who before had been a magician in that city, seducing the people of Samaria, giving out that he was some great one:
10 To whom they all gave ear, from the least to the greatest, saying: This man is the power of God, which is called great.
11 And they were attentive to him, because, for a long time, he had bewitched them with his magical practices.
12 But when they had believed Philip preaching of the kingdom of God, in the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
13 Then Simon himself believed also; and being baptized, he adhered to Philip. And being astonished, wondered to see the signs and exceeding great miracles which were done.
℣. But thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us.
℟. Thanks be to God.

℟. I am the True Vine, and ye are the branches;
* He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit, alleluia, alleluia.
℣. As the Father hath loved Me, so have I loved you.
℟. He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit, alleluia, alleluia.
℣. Jube, domne, benedícere.
Benedictio. Unigénitus Dei Fílius nos benedícere et adjuváre dignétur.
℟. Amen.

Acts 8:14-19
14 Now when the apostles, who were in Jerusalem, had heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John.
15 Who, when they were come, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost.
16 For he was not as yet come upon any of them; but they were only baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
17 Then they laid their hands upon them, and they received the Holy Ghost.
18 And when Simon saw, that by the imposition of the hands of the apostles, the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,
19 Saying: Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I shall lay my hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.
℣. But thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us.
℟. Thanks be to God.

℟. After that our Lord Jesus was risen again, He came and stood in the midst of His disciples, and said unto them:

22 Pœniténtiam ítaque age ab hac nequítia tua: et roga Deum, si forte remittátur tibi hæc cogitátio cordis tui.
23 In felle enim amaritúdinis, et obligatióne iniquitátis, vídeo te esse.

Acts 8:19-24
19 But Peter said to him:
20 Keep thy money to thyself, to perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.
21 Thou hast no part nor lot in this matter. For thy heart is not right in the sight of God.
22 Do penance therefore for this thy wickedness; and pray to God, that perhaps this thought of thy heart may be forgiven thee.
23 For I see thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bonds of iniquity.
24 Then Simon answering, said: Pray you for me to the Lord, that none of these things which you have spoken may come upon me.
℣. But thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us.
℟. Thanks be to God.

℟. Purge out the old leaven, that ye may be new dough: for even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us:
* Therefore let us keep the Feast, in the Lord, alleluia.
℣. He died for our offences, and rose again for our justification.

77:34 When he slew them, then they sought him: * and they returned, and came to him early in the morning.
77:35 And they remembered that God was their helper: * and the most high God their redeemer.
77:36 And they loved him with their mouth: * and with their tongue they lied unto him:
77:37 But their heart was not right with him: * nor were they counted faithful in his covenant.
77:38 But he is merciful, and will forgive their sins: * and will not destroy them.
77:38 And many a time did he turn away his anger: * and did not kindle all his wrath.
77:39 And he remembered that they are flesh: * a wind that goeth and returneth not.
77:40 How often did they provoke him in the desert: * and move him to wrath in the place without water?
77:41 And they turned back and tempted God: * and grieved the holy one of Israel.
℣. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, * and to the Holy Ghost.
℟. As it was in the beginning, is now, * and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Psalm 77(42-58) [5]
77:42 They remembered not his hand, * in the day that he redeemed them from the hand of him that afflicted them:
77:43 How he wrought his signs in Egypt, * and his wonders in the field of Tanis.
77:44 And he turned their rivers into blood, * and their showers that they might not drink.
77:45 He sent amongst them diverse sorts of flies, which devoured them: * and frogs which destroyed them.
77:46 And he gave up their fruits to the blast, * and their labours to the locust.
77:47 And he destroyed their vineyards with hail, * and their mulberry trees with hoarfrost.
77:48 And he gave up their cattle to the hail, * and their stock to the fire.
77:49 And he sent upon them the wrath of his indignation: * indignation and wrath and trouble, which he sent by evil angels.
77:50 He made a way for a path to his anger: * he spared not their souls from death, and their cattle he shut up in death.
77:51 And he killed all the firstborn in the land of Egypt: * the firstfruits of all their labour in the tabernacles of Cham.
77:52 And he took away his own people as sheep: * and guided them in the wilderness like a flock.
77:53 And he brought them out in hope, and they feared not: * and the sea overwhelmed their enemies.
77:54 And he brought them into the mountain of his sanctuary: * the mountain which his right hand had purchased.
77:54 And he cast out the Gentiles before them: * and by lot divided to them their land by a line of distribution.
77:55 And he made the tribes of Israel * to dwell in their tabernacles.
77:56 Yet they tempted, and provoked the most high God: * and they kept not his testimonies.
77:57 And they turned away, and kept not the covenant: * even like their fathers they were turned aside as a crooked bow.
77:58 They provoked him to anger on their hills: * and moved him to jealousy with their graven things.

Ex libro Dialogorum sancti Gregorii Papæ
Lib. 3 Cap. 31
Cumque ille constantissime responderet, numquam se veram fidem posse relinquere, quam semel agnovisset: iratus pater eum privavit regno, rebusque exspoliavit omnibus. Cumque nec sic virtutem mentis illius emollire valuisset, in arcta illum custodia concludens, collum manusque illius ferro ligavit. Cœpit ítaque Hermenegildus rex juvenis terrenum regnum despicere, et forti desiderio cæleste quærens, in ciliciis vinculatus jacens, omnipotenti Deo ad confortandum se, preces effundere; tantoque sublimius gloriam transeuntis mundi despicere, quanto et religatus agnoverat nihil fuísse, quod potuerit auferri.
℣. Tu autem, Dómine, miserére nobis.
℟. Deo grátias.

℟. Lux perpétua lucébit Sanctis tuis, Dómine,
* Et ætérnitas témporum, allelúja, allelúja.
℣. Lætítia sempitérna erit super cápita eórum: gáudium et exsultatiónem obtinébunt.
℟. Et ætérnitas témporum, allelúja, allelúja.
℣. Grant, Lord, a blessing.
Benediction. May God the Father Omnipotent, be to us merciful and clement.
℟. Amen.

From the Book of Dialogues written by Pope St. Gregory
Lib. 3. Cap. 31
Hermenegild, the son of Leovigild, King of the Visigoths, was turned from the Arian heresy to the Catholic Faith by the preaching of that most worshipful man Leander, Bishop of Seville, the same who was for a long season mine own familiar friend. Then his father, being himself an Arian, strove to bring him back to that heresy, first by offering him gifts, and then seeking to awe him by threatening. And when he answered alway that, having once had knowledge of the true faith, he never could forsake it, his father was wroth, and took away his kingdom from him, and plundered him of all his goods. And when not even so could he sap the manliness of his soul, he cast him into a most strait prison, having his neck and his hands in fetters of iron. And so that young King Hermenegild began to hold in little esteem an earthly kingdom, and to long exceedingly for an heavenly. Yea, he clothed himself in sackcloths in the prison, and as he lay bound therein, he poured forth supplications to Almighty God to give him strength. There he lay bound, having suffered the loss of all things, but his suffering made him but to esteem more worthless the glory of this world, which passeth away so easily.
℣. But thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us.
℟. Thanks be to God.

℟. Eternal light will shine over your saints, O Lord,
* And the eternity of the times, alleluia, alleluia.
℣. Everlasting joy shall be upon their heads, they shall obtain joy and gladness
℟. And the eternity of the times, alleluia, alleluia.
℣. Jube, domne, benedícere.
Benedictio. Christus perpétuæ det nobis gáudia vitæ.
℟. Amen.

Lectio 5
℣. Tu autem, Dómine, miserére nobis.
℟. Deo grátias.

℟. In servis suis, allelúja,
* Consolábitur Deus, allelúja.
℣. Judicábit Dóminus pópulum suum, et in servis suis.
℟. Consolábitur Deus, allelúja.
℣. Grant, Lord, a blessing.
Benediction. May Christ to all His people give, for ever in His sight to live.
℟. Amen.

Reading 5
But when the day of the glad Passover came, at dead of night, the unbelieving father sent to his son the Arian Bishop, to offer him, as the price of his favour, to receive at the hands of the said Bishop the Communion which was the result of a sacrilegious consecration. But when the Arian Bishop came into the prison, the servant of God, remembering that he was not his own but God's man, rebuked the unbeliever as he deserved, and drave him from his presence with just reproaches for though he was weak and bound as touching this outer body, yet was he strong in the mighty castle of his soul. The Bishop, therefore, went away again to that Arian father. And when he came to Leovigild, he waxed exceeding wroth, and sent his servants to kill God's faithful witness where he lay. Which thing was done for as soon as they came to him into the prison, they clave his head with an axe, and freed him from the dying life of this house of our tabernacle. And so they did to him all that which they that kill the body are able to do, and it was a thing which now of a long season he feared not, seeing that when they have done that, they have no more that they can do, but fearing rather Him Who, when He hath killed, hath power to cast both body and soul into hell. But God, to make manifest the glory of His servant, was pleased to work signs from heaven, for of a sudden the solemn swell of singing of Psalms was heard at that dead hour of night from round about the place where lay the body of the kingly martyr, kingly now in an higher and truer sense than the sense of earthly kingship, since he had witnessed a good confession for the truth, sealing it with his blood.
℣. But thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us.
℟. Thanks be to God.

℟. His servants, alleluia
* God will comfort, alleluia, alleluia.
℣. The Lord will judge His people and, His servants,
℟. God will comfort, alleluia, alleluia.
℣. Jube, domne, benedícere.
Benedictio. Ignem sui amóris accéndat Deus in córdibus nostris.
℟. Amen.

℣. Tu autem, Dómine, miserére nobis.

Reading 6
Come say, too, that lights were seen there that night. Wherefore it came to pass that the body of the martyr became the rightful object of reverence to all God's faithful people. The unbelieving father, murderer of his own child, was seized with remorse, and repented him or what he had done, but he sorrowed not unto salvation. For though he knew that the Catholic faith was true, he stood in fear of his people, and deserved not to attain unto it. He fell sick, and, when he was at the point of death, he made it his duty to recommend King Reccared his surviving son to the care of the Bishop Leander, whom aforetime he had grievously persecuted, that though Reccared was now left in heresy, the Bishop might work in him by his exhortations the same change that he had worked in his brother, which when Leovigild had said, he died. After his death, King Reccared took for his example not his unbelieving father but his martyred brother. He forsook the Arian heresy, and brought the whole nation of the Visigoths to believe in the true faith, so that he allowed no man in his kingdom to be an officer, who dared any longer range himself through heresy as an enemy of the Kingdom of God. Neither need we marvel that Reccared was a preacher of the faith, since he had had to his brother a martyr, for whose sake Almighty God hath helped him to bring back so many to the bosom of their Father Who is in heaven.
℣. But thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us.
℟. Thanks be to God.

℟. Come forth, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, and behold the Martyrs with the crowns wherewith the Lord crowned them;

Psalm 78 [7]
78:1 O God, the heathens are come into thy inheritance, they have defiled thy holy temple: * they have made Jerusalem as a place to keep fruit.
78:2 They have given the dead bodies of thy servants to be meat for the fowls of the air: * the flesh of thy saints for the beasts of the earth.
78:3 They have poured out their blood as water, round about Jerusalem, * and there was none to bury them.
78:4 We are become a reproach to our neighbours: * a scorn and derision to them that are round about us.
78:5 How long, O Lord, wilt thou be angry for ever: * shall thy zeal be kindled like a fire?
78:6 Pour out thy wrath upon the nations that have not known thee: * and upon the kingdoms that have not called upon thy name.
78:7 Because they have devoured Jacob; * and have laid waste his place.
78:8 Remember not our former iniquities: let thy mercies speedily prevent us, * for we are become exceeding poor.
78:9 Help us, O God, our saviour: and for the glory of thy name, O Lord, deliver us: * and forgive us our sins for thy name’s sake:
78:10 Lest they should say among the Gentiles: Where is their God? * And let him be made known among the nations before our eyes,
78:10 By the revenging the blood of thy servants, which hath been shed: * let the sighing of the prisoners come in before thee.
78:11 According to the greatness of thy arm, * take possession of the children of them that have been put to death.
78:12 And render to our neighbours sevenfold in their bosom: * the reproach wherewith they have reproached thee, O Lord.

From the holy Gospel according to John
John 15:1-7
In that time Jesus said to his disciples: I an the true vine; and my Father is the husbandman. And so on.

Homily by St. Augustine, Bishop of Hippo.
Tract 80 on John
Dearly beloved brethren, this passage of the Gospel, wherein the Lord saith that He is the vine, and that His disciples are the branches, is to be taken in that sense wherein it is also said, that He is the Head of the Church, Eph. v. 23, and that we are the members of Him 30 Who is the Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Tim. ii. 5. The vine and his branches are of one and the same nature. Therefore, seeing that He was God, of which nature we are not, He was made man, to the end that He might have in Himself this vine, that is, the manhood, whereof we men can be made branches.
℣. But thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us.
℟. Thanks be to God.

℟. I am the vine: you the branches.
* He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same beareth much fruit, alleluia, alleluia.
℣. As the Father hath loved me, I also have loved you.
℟. He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same beareth much fruit, alleluia, alleluia.
℣. Jube, domne, benedícere.
Benedictio.

℣. Tu autem, Dómine, miserére nobis.
℟. Deo grátias.

℟. Cándidi facti sunt Nazarǽi ejus, allelúja: splendórem Deo dedérunt, allelúja:
* Et sicut lac coaguláti sunt, allelúja, allelúja.
℣. Candidióres nive, nitidióres lacte, rubicundióres ébore antíquo, sapphíro pulchrióres.
℟. Et sicut lac coaguláti sunt, allelúja, allelúja.
℣. Glória Patri, et Fílio, * et Spirítui Sancto.
℟. Et sicut lac coaguláti sunt, allelúja, allelúja.
℣. Grant, Lord, a blessing.
Benediction. He whose feast-day we are keeping, be our Advocate with God.
℟. Amen.

Reading 8
Why saith He: I am the true vine? As touching this word true, hath He not here regard to that other parable of a vine, the like figure whereto He doth here apply to Himself? Jer. ii. 21. Here is He called a vine, not plainly, but in parable, as also He is called elsewhere a sheep, Isa. liii. 7, Acts viii. 32, a lamb, John i. 36, a lion, Apoc. v. 5, a rock, 1 Cor. x. 4, a corner-stone, ~Eph. ii. 20, and other things of the like kind. But these things are in themselves that which they seem to be, albeit He is called by their names, not plainly, but in a parable, and herein are they different from that vine, whereof in this place He taketh on Him the name. For when He saith: I am the true vine, doth He not make distinction between Himself, and that which indeed seemed to be a vine, but to which it is said: How art thou turned into the degenerate plant of a strange vine unto Me? Jer. ii. 21. For by what title shall that plant be called other than a false vine, whereto they looked that she should bring forth grapes, and she brought forth thorns?
℣. But thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us.
℟. Thanks be to God.

℟. Her Nazarites are become pure, Alleluia: they reflect the glory of God, Alleluia.
* They are whiter than milk. Alleluia, Alleluia.
℣. They are purer than snow, they are whiter than milk, they are more ruddy in body than coral, their polishing is of sapphire.
℟. They are whiter than milk. Alleluia, Alleluia.
℣. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, * and to the Holy Ghost.
℟. They are whiter than milk. Alleluia, Alleluia.
℣. Jube, domne, benedícere.
Benedictio. Ad societátem cívium supernórum perdúcat nos Rex Angelórum.
℟. Amen.

℣. Tu autem, Dómine, miserére nobis.
℟. Deo grátias.

Reading 9
He saith: I am the true vine, and My Father is the husbandman. Is the vine one with the husbandman? These words then are to be taken in that sense wherein He also saith: My Father is greater than I. John xiv. 28. In this sense is He the vine, and the Father is the husbandman. But again, in regard to those words: I and the Father are one, and again and: My Father is the husbandman, we understand that They are not the vine and the husbandman, after the manner of a vine, and the husbandman that from without doth care for and keep it, but after the manner of a vine and Him That from within doth make it to bring forth fruit. For neither is he that planteth anything, neither he that watereth, but God that giveth the increase. 1 Cor. iii. 7. But Christ is God, for the Word was God. John i. 1. Therefore He and the Father are one: and, albeit the Word was made flesh, John i. 14, which, before, He was not, He ceased not to be still That Which He was.
℣. But thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us.
℟. Thanks be to God.

Te Deum
We praise thee, O God, * we acknowledge thee to be the Lord.
All the earth doth worship thee, * the Father everlasting.
To thee all Angels cry aloud, * the Heavens, and all the Powers therein.
To thee Cherubim and Seraphim * continually do cry.
bow head Holy, Holy, Holy * Lord God of Sabaoth;
Heaven and earth are full * of the Majesty of thy glory.
The glorious company of the Apostles * praise thee.
The goodly fellowship of the Prophets * praise thee.
The noble army of Martyrs * praise thee.
The holy Church throughout all the world * doth acknowledge thee;
The Father, * of an infinite Majesty.
Thine honourable, true, * and only Son;
Also the Holy Ghost, * the Comforter.
Thou art the King of Glory, * O Christ.
Thou art the everlasting * Son of the Father.
During the following verse all make a profound bow: When thou tookest upon thee to deliver man, * thou didst not abhor the Virgin's womb.
When thou hadst overcome the sharpness of death, * thou didst open the Kingdom of Heaven to all believers.
Thou sittest at the right hand of God, * in the glory of the Father.
We believe that thou shalt come * to be our Judge.
Kneel for the following verse
We therefore pray thee, help thy servants, * whom thou hast redeemed with thy precious Blood.
Make them to be numbered with thy Saints, * in glory everlasting.
O Lord, save thy people, * and bless thine heritage.
Govern them, * and lift them up for ever.
Day by day * we magnify thee;
During the following verse, by local custom, all make a profound bow. And we worship thy Name * ever, world without end.
Vouchsafe, O Lord, to keep us * this day without sin.
O Lord, have mercy upon us, * have mercy upon us.
O Lord, let thy mercy lighten upon us, * as our trust is in thee.
O Lord, in thee have I trusted, * let me never be confounded.
